Decent Homes
This is a scheme that guarantees a decent standard of living in social housing. These houses contain many asbestos product including ceilings and floor tiles. Since 2005 Amber has provided project management services to several housing associations and asbestos removal contractors.
Railway Coaches
Amber carried out project management of a major railway coach decommissioning project. This project involved the surveying and removal of asbestos products from 1200 redundant British Rail and London Underground coaches.
BP Port Talbot, Wales
Amber was contracted to supervise the removal of asbestos products throughout the site over a 6 month period working closely with the client and asbestos removal contractor. This involved all aspects from initial survey through to contract completion including contractor vetting.
Town Halls, Lincolnshire
Project management of asbestos decontamination works in two basements of prestigious council buildings. This project involved lengthy and delicate negotiations with senior council members up to Chief Executive level, unions and staff representatives.
Due to the size of the contract, we also had to resolve EU tendering regulation issues. Both buildings were decontaminated on time and within budget.
